On Line Class Description 
Students need technology hardware and software requirements to access and complete the program such as a computer with minimum operating system and webcam.   
Students will need access to the internet, webcam, zoom along with a computer with minimum operating system.  
Grade requirements for passing the training program 
•    Grades received from quizzes, homework assignments and final exam will be averaged into a final classroom grade.  Each module taught must be passed with a 75%.  The final exam must be passed with a grade of 75% to receive authorization to test for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program.
•    Students will be evaluated during the clinical portion of the class according to the following criteria:
1.    Nursing skills performance
2.    Attendance
3.    Appearance and cleanliness
4.    Punctuality
5.    Attitude
6.    Honesty
7.    Responsibility and dependability
8.    Working relationship and interaction with patients
9.    Working relationship with hospital staff and other students
10.    Work ethics – ability to complete the daily assignment, motivation, and initiative
Training program fees 
•    Program fees for the Nursing Assistant class is $1,500.00.  
•    Students should have two uniforms, books, CPR, Physical, TB/Chest Xray, Flu, testing fees, and watch.
Brief description of required coursework 
•    To be eligible to take the State CNA exam, students must pass with a 75% or better in each evaluation area.  Evaluation areas would include but may not be limited to academic grades, clinical performance, and attendance.
•    Students must attend a minimum of 60 hours of theory and at least 100 hours of State-approved clinical skills training.  GHNS classes requires additional hours of training to meet industry standards.
•    Skill performances are evaluated on a pass/fail basis. All skills will be performed at 100% accuracy before a student successfully passes a skill.
Course Deadlines/Training program lengths, such as length in days, weeks, or semesters 
Students will spend the first 2 weeks in the classroom 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday learning medical skills and terminology necessary to function in the long-term setting.  Teaching techniques include lectures, discussions, roll playing, multimedia presentations, and demonstrations by the instructor along with return demonstrations by the student.  Once the student successfully completes the 18-day classroom theory required portion they will advance and continue training at the long-term care facility for a minimum of 100 hours.  Clinical days of training are 2 weeks Tuesday through Friday from 7am to 3pm.
